Mr. Toshiba’s CEO: I don’t know your name but I know what your company did. I’m a HD DVD owner and I can’t watch movies in HD anymore. There’s no HD DVD new movies since almost two years. Do you send me a Blu Ray Toshiba now? there’s a lot of them to rent, buy, trade. etc.
I bought your HD DVD device here, at Amazon. com you can check it out. Give us a little respect, give us something to redeem your company.
Regards,
Myself

I’ve used it a few times and it works well. It was a free bonus when I bought my TV so the price was right.

bought this on sale at a great price. plays regular dvds great. blu-ray naturally great. only problem is no zoom like the old toshiba I have. remote is very good. would recommend this.

I wanted a low priced Blu-ray player primarily for the upconversion of my existing dvds and the occasional Blu-ray rental. My first two purchases (other models) went back to the store for interminable wait times at power up and menu, and freezing while playing dvd’s. I’ve had this Toshiba for several weeks now and I love it. Unlike some other reviewers I haven’t encountered the whine on loading discs and the response time of the remote and disk load is fantastic. My dvds look so good that the kids want to use the television in my room instead of the family television now. I rented a few Blu-ray discs to test out the players lag time on those discs and was really impressed. There seemed to be no difference at all. I hooked it up with an HDMI cable and it was ready to go. Better performance than a higher priced model I tried. If you’re looking for a low cost everyday unit without needing all the possible bells and whistles, this is definitely the way to go.
